Guide to Replacing an Outdoor Lamp Post

Step 1: Gather Your Tools and Materials

Before you begin, you will need to gather the following tools and materials:

New lamp post
Concrete mix
Gravel
Shovel
Level
Tape measure

Electrical tape

Step 2: Remove the Old Lamp Post

Once you have gathered your tools and materials, you can begin by removing the old lamp post. To do this, follow these steps:

Turn off the power to the lamp post at the circuit breaker.
Disconnect the electrical wires from the lamp post.
Dig around the base of the lamp post to expose the concrete footing.
Use a shovel to break up the concrete footing and remove the lamp post from the ground.

Step 3: Prepare the New Lamp Post

Once you have removed the old lamp post, you can prepare the new lamp post for installation. To do this, follow these steps:

Apply a layer of electrical tape to the end of each electrical wire.
Thread the electrical wires through the base of the new lamp post.
