Step 1: Build the Frame

The first step is to build the frame of the bar. To do this, cut four 4x4 posts to the desired height of the bar. Then, space the posts evenly apart and secure them to the ground using concrete footings or deck blocks.

Step 2: Install the Floor Joists

Next, install the floor joists. To do this, cut 2x6 lumber to the width of the bar. Then, space the joists evenly apart and secure them to the posts using nails or screws.

Step 3: Build the Bar Top

Now, it's time to build the bar top. To do this, cut 2x6 lumber to the length and width of the bar. Then, glue and screw the boards together to form the bar top.

Step 4: Install the Bar Front

To finish the bar, install the bar front. To do this, cut 1x6 lumber to the length and height of the bar front. Then, nail or screw the boards together to form the bar front.

Step 5: Build the Roof

Finally, build the roof. To do this, cut 2x4 lumber to the length and width of the roof. Then, assemble the roof frame and secure it to the top of the bar using nails or screws.

Step 6: Cover the Roof

To finish the roof, cover it with roofing felt and asphalt shingles. To do this, roll out the roofing felt over the roof frame and secure it using roofing nails. Then, install the asphalt shingles over the roofing felt using roofing nails.

Step 7: Enjoy Your New Bar

Once the roof is complete, your outdoor wooden bar is finished. Now you can enjoy your new bar with friends and family.

Here are a few tips for building an outdoor wooden bar with a roof:

  • Use pressure-treated lumber for all of the outdoor components of the bar to prevent rot and decay.
  • Make sure to level the bar frame before installing the floor joists and bar top.
  • Use wood glue and screws to secure all of the components of the bar for added strength.
  • Cover the roof with roofing felt and asphalt shingles to protect it from the elements.
