How To Make Your Own Outdoor Bar Stools

Materials:
- 4 cedar 2x4s, 36" long
- 4 cedar 2x4s, 18" long
- 1 cedar 1x6, 36" long
- 1 cedar 1x6, 18" long
- 1/2" galvanized bolts
- Nuts and washers
- Wood glue
- Sandpaper
- Stain or paint (optional)
Tools:
- Drill
- Saw
- Measuring tape
- Level
- Clamps
- Sander
- Brush or roller (optional)
Instructions:
- Cut the cedar 2x4s and 1x6s according to the materials list.
- Assemble the legs of the bar stool by attaching the 36" 2x4s to the 18" 2x4s with bolts, nuts, and washers. Make sure the legs are square and level.
- Attach the seat to the legs with wood glue and screws. Clamp the seat in place until the glue dries.
- Attach the back to the legs with wood glue and screws. Clamp the back in place until the glue dries.
- Sand the bar stool smooth and apply stain or paint if desired.
- Allow the stain or paint to dry completely before using the bar stool.
